Update: Amber Alert: Two Year Old Luis Martinez Update

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement canceled a missing child alert for Luis Martinez this morning one day after the toddler from Valrico, Florida went missing.

Authorities believe Martinez may have fallen in a hole in the septic tank but they’re still awaiting a positive identification on the child’s body.

AMBER Alerts were issued 11/23/2009 for a missing child in South Carolina and a missing child in Texas.

The San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Angela Rodriguez. Police are looking for Joaquin Garcia in connection with her abduction. The suspect is driving the listed vehicle. The suspect was last heard from in Shepherd, TX. Law enforcement officials believe this child to be in grave or immediate danger.

Authorities in Fayetteville, NC have activated an AMBER Alert for Shaniya Nicole Davis. She last seen wearing a blue t-shirt. She was not wearing shoes. Direction and mode of travel is unknown.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WRAL) Cumberland County authorities say foul play is suspected in the disappearance of Shaniya Nicole Davis. The 5-year-old girl went missing from her home in Fayetteville, N.C. Tuesday morning.An Amber Alert was initiated for Shaniya just before noon, Lt. David Sportsman said.Police responded to the home around 6:50 a.m., and Shaniya’s mother told officers that she last saw her daughter at 5:30 a.m. The mother’s boyfriend and her sister, along with an infant and Shaniya’s 7-year-old brother were also in the home when the girl went missing.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A North Carolina man accused of kidnapping a 5-year-old girl says he’s not guilty.Clarence Coe made a first court appearance Thursday afternoon as investigators in Cumberland County continued to search for signs of the child. Coe told a judge he didn’t understand why he was in court and said he was “not guilty.” However, he did not enter a formal plea.Fayetteville Police Department spokeswoman Theresa Chance said a witness spotted Coe taking 5-year-old Shaniya Davis out of a trailer park. Shaniya was reported missing from her mobile home park around 7 a.m. Tuesday, and her mother last saw the girl that day around 5:30 a.m.Chance said it was “not a random occurrence.” A judge said Coe would be appointed an attorney.

Update 11-13-09: Missing girl seen at hotel

NORTH CAROLINA — A missing 5-year-old girl was seen with a man at a hotel, but not the same person charged in her kidnapping, police said late Thursday. Shaniya Davis was spotted in Sanford with a man identified as Mario Andrette McNeill, said Fayetteville police spokeswoman Teresa Chance. She was seen with him Tuesday, about an hour after she disappeared from her home in Fayetteville, about 40 miles away. Police have arrested and charged Clarence Coe, 30, who says he is not guilty of kidnapping the girl.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A North Carolina man has admitted to kidnapping a 5-year-old girl, authorities said Friday, but investigators still have not found the child more than three days after she disappeared from a mobile home park.But the attorney for Mario Andrette McNeill, 29, said Friday that his client would plead not guilty to kidnapping Shaniya Davis. Fayetteville Police Department spokeswoman Theresa Chance said McNeill admitted taking the girl.McNeill was charged with kidnapping while authorities dropped charges against another man, Clarence Coe, who was initially arrested in the case.”We’re hoping we find her alive,” Chance said at a news conference. “We found Mr. McNeill, and Miss Davis was not with him.”

FAYETEVILLE, NC (WTVD) — Police in Fayetteville say they’ve arrested the mother of a missing 5-year-old who’s the focus of a nationwide Amber Alert.

 Shaniya Davis has been missing since Tuesday.Late Saturday night, Fayetteville police Sgt. John Somerindyke announced in a news release that Antoinette Davis has been charged with human trafficking, felony child abuse, prostitution, filing a false police report, and resisting, delaying, or obstructing police.Somerindyke says detectives have not found the little girl.

A child has been reported missing near Jacksonville, Fl. Somer Renee Thompson is listed at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as Endangered Missing but not as an AMBER Alert.

Somer was last seen walking near her school on the afternoon of October 19, 2009. She was last seen with her hair in a ponytail tied with a red bow, wearing a maroon sweatsuit with a pink stripe, and a black tee shirt. She was carrying a purple Hannah Montana backpack and lunchbox.

Authorities search for missing Orange Park girl
 

 

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing 7-year-old girl in the Grove Park neighborhood of Orange Park.
The child’s mother reported that the girl had not returned home from school Monday.
 
Summer Renee Thompson was last seen wearing a cranberry colored jumpsuit with pink-striped sleeves. She is 3-foot-5, weighs 65 pounds abd has brown hair in a pony tail. 
She was walking home from school near West Gano Avenue and Debarry Avenue with her sister and friends but separted from them about 2:45 p.m.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or (904) 264-6512.

Clay County Sheriff, Rick Beseler is now stating that a blue Nissan Sentra or SUV (conflicting statements in the internal report) occupied by two hispanic males and a women attempted to lure a child into their car approximately ten days ago in the same area. They are seeking information but are not sure if the incident is related to her disappearance.

There was no mention if the public had previously been made aware of this event. At this time there are no organized public searches being conducted by volunteers. The only searches are those by law enforcement.

Update 10-20-09: An AMBER Alert has been activated for her however she is listed at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement FDLE AMBER Alert site.

America’s Most Wanted (AMW) posted information concerning Somer. According to local news reports, Sean originally sent the two siblings to go “find” her. The mother was reported to have flagged down an officer not to have driven to the Sheriff’s Office.

Somer left school at 2:50 p.m. that Monday, and was walking home from school with her twin brother, her 10-year-old sister, and some friends when she ran ahead of the group, toward her home.

Somer’s siblings arrived home safely at about 3:05 p.m. without her and no one has seen her since.
 
Their mother’s friend, Sean Patton, was at the house and asked the children where Somer was and they said she walked off.

  

Sean and the kids searched for Somer for an hour. when Somer’s mother called, Sean told her Somer had not made it home.

She left work immediately and stopped at the Sheriff’s Office on the way home to report her daughter missing.

Detectives in southern Ga are reported to be searching a Landfill. They are believed to be searching for a body. Another missing child with ties to Georgia is Haleigh Cummings. Her birth mother Crystal Sheffield lives in Baker County Ga.

FOLKSTON, GA — The search for Somer Thompson is now involving a landfill in Georgia.
An official with Waste Management has confirmed to First Coast News that officials, including those from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, are searching through the Chesser Island Landfill near Folkston, and they are looking for a body.
It is not confirmed now what body they are looking for, but Clay County does have investigators on the scene.

Landfills searched as part of Somer Thompson disappearance investigation

ORANGE PARK — Clay County officials are searching two landfills, as part of the investigation into the disappearance of 7-year-old Somer Renee Thompson.

Mary Justino, a spokeswoman for the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, said Rosemary Hill landfill near Green Cove Springs and the Chesser Island Landfill in Folkston, Ga., were targeted by investigators.

Trash from the neighborhood where Somer’s family lived is taken to Rosemary Hill, then transferred to the Georgia landfill. Justino said the searches are a “precautionary measure” and are not based on a tip or a lead in the case.

County Manager Fritz Behring said Rosemary Hill was searched Tuesday. Investigators are at the Folkston landfill today.

ORANGE PARK, Fla. — Clay County authorities report that the body of a small child was found in a landfill near Folkston, Ga., where Orange Park’s garbage is dumped.

“We hope and pray that it’s not the body of Somer, but the garbage that was in that area was collected from Orange Park,” Beseler said. “We hope and pray that it’s not the body of Somer, but the garbage that was in that area was collected from Orange Park,” Beseler said.

Clay County detectives found the body about 3:30 p.m. at a the Chesser Island Landfill in Charlton County.

Officials have not positively identified the body however, Somer’s mother stated earlier in the day there was a birthmark visible on one of her legs. The lower extremeties of the discovered body were able to be seen by authorities according to reports.

An autopsy is scheduled for today in Georgia.

The legs of a child were found protruding from garbage picked up in Clay County and transferred to the Chesser Island Road Landfill in Folkston, Ga., said Clay County Sheriff Rick Beseler.

While no positive identification has been made, Somer’s father Samuel Thompson said detectives had identified a circular birthmark on his daughter’s shin.

ORANGE PARK, FL — The idea of searching the Georgia Landfill, where Somer Thompson was found, came from Clay County Sheriff Detective Bruce Owens.

 

A vacant house is being searched at 1080 Gano Dr by FDLE which is the last known sighting of Somer by witnesses. On the map, B is her school, A is 1080 Gano and C is her home.

An AMBER Alert has been issued for missing autistic teen Detroit teen Nicholas Desean Blair.

The Detroit Police Department is investigating an incident of an endangered missing child Nicholas Desean Blair from Burnett, Detroit. Child is autistic.

Nicholas Desean Blair’s description is as follows: 13 years old, 5 feet 5 inches, 150 pounds and has Brown eyes, Black hair. Nicholas Desean Blair was last seen at 15:30 pm on 10182009 and is believed to be in extreme danger. Nicholas Desean Blair was wearing an orange coat with airplane logo, gray t-shirt, blue pants with black stripe.

AN AMBER Alert has been activated in Williamsport, PA for A’dryn Allen Drummond

The 1 1/2 year-old child was taken by his 27 year-old father, Johnnie Alexander Drummond. His father is a convicted drug offender who escaped from a Berks County halfway house in August. He is considered armed and dangerous. They are in a black Mercury Mariner, PA tag FPM3019, heading eastbound on SR 973 in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County.

An AMBER Alert has been issued in Mooresville, NC for Keara and Sierra Hess.

The Iredell County Sheriff`s Department is searching for 2 missing children: Keara Hess and Sierra Hess. Keara is nine months pregnant and may be in need of immediate medical attention. The victims are believed to be with Mathew Charles Hess.

Both sisters are reportedly traveling with their adoptive father. They were last seen at their home near Mooresville on the morning of Sept. 24. Possible destinations include Fayetteville and the state of Tennessee. The vehicle is a green 1993 Ford Explorerr with NC license tag number YTE-8014. The vehicle’s back passenger window is reportedly broken and has been covered with Plexiglass and duct-taped in place.

An AMBER Alert has also been activated in Nashville, TN for Yair Anthony Carrillo. The AMBER Alert has been activated by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department for 4 day old Yair Anthony Carrillo. The child was taken by a white female who was posing as an immigration worker. She had come to the residence and demanded the mother give her the baby. When the mother refused to comply she stabbed the mother approximately 8 times.

Update 09-30-09: Amber Alert canceled for pregnant 12-year-old, sister

RALEIGH — An Amber Alert issued earlier today for a pregnant 12-year-old and her sister, who were last seen in Iredell County last week, was canceled late Wednesday morning after the girls were found in Tennessee.
The N.C. Department of Crime Control and Public Safety identified the two girls as Keara Hess and Sierra Hess.

State authorities say both girls were with Mathew Charles Hess, 40, their adoptive father.

Baby Allegedly Kidnapped by Fake Immigration Agent Found Safe

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A newborn infant kidnapped from his mother in Tennessee was found safe in Alabama on Friday, and a woman suspected of abducting the baby was arrested, police said.
Nashville police said week-old Yair Anthony Carillo was found at a home in Ardmore near the Tennessee line.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Director Mark Gwyn identified the arrested woman as Tammy Renee Silas, 39, of Ardmore. He said charges are “pending,” but she was not immediately charged. She was being questioned and will be held at the jail in Morgan County, Ala., police said.
