An AMBER Alert has been issued in Mount Pleasant, MI for 11-year-old Brendan Chobod. The Isabella County Sheriff’s Department believe he is in extreme danger but have not determined whether he was kidnapped.
He is described as having a severe mental/physical disability. He was last known to have been napping at home and was gone when checked upon in trailer near Chippewa and M-20
The Isabella County Sheriffs Office is investigating his case as an endangered missing child. Brendan Michael Chobod is 11 years old, 4 feet 8 inches, 55 pounds and has Blue eyes, Brown hair. There is no clothing description. He was last seen napping at home and was gone when checked upon at 14:30 pm on 09112009 and is believed to be in extreme danger.
The Isabella County Sheriffs Office says a possible vehicle is GMC van GRY license number CAT2531; this vehicle may be driven by Andrew Smith, not considered a kidnapping suspect.

Update 09-14-09: Amber Alert cancelled; boy found in OH
ISABELLA COUNTY, Mich. (WOOD) – An 11-year-old boy who went missing on Friday has been found safe in Ohio.
An Amber Alert had been declared for Brendan Michael Chobod after he went missing. He had last been seen napping at his home near Chippewa and M-20 in Isabella County. He was discovered missing at 2:30 p.m.
The Isabella County Sheriff’s Office states that the boy was found Saturday night at a campground near Sandusky, Ohio.
Sheriff Leo Mioduszewski of the Isabella County Sheriff’s Department tells 24 Hour News 8 Brendan was with former family friend Andrew Smith at the campground. Smith was driving a GMC van that deputies were on the lookout for since Friday. Smith was arrested on violations of bond conditions.
