Haleigh Cummings went missing from her Satsuma, Fl. home on Feb 10, 2009. The last known person to have seen her, Misty Croslin-Cummings, denies any involvement in her disappearance. Authorities are now looking into reports of a possible sighting of Haleigh at an Abington, Ma. Walmart. One distinguishing feature on Haleigh’s face is a small brown spot near her right ear.
Hunt for missing Fla. girl leads to Cape
A nationwide search for a missing Florida girl came to Massachusetts over the weekend, when Sunshine State authorities traveled to Cape Cod to question a couple in the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings.
Investigators interviewed Timothy Croslin and his wife Saturday as they searched for clues that might help them find Haleigh, 6, who disappeared from her Satsuma, Fla., home on Feb. 9, according to Putnam County Sheriff spokesman Lt. Johnny Greenwood.
Croslin’s sister, Misty, 17, was the last person to see Haleigh. She told police she tucked the little girl into bed the night of Feb. 10 while her boyfriend, and Haleigh’s father, Ronald Cummings, 25, was away at work.

I think Misty knows that child was not Haleigh in the Walmart! She needs to fess up!
I think the brother does have somthing to do with her disapearance
It’s interesting that Misty called her brother BEFORE she called 911 that night.
I am so sick of all of this, slap the piss outta that 17 year old baby that KNOWS what happened and get this little girl home.
It is interesting to know that she called her brother that night. But like someone said on NG last night, but Nancy disagreed, she very well may have called him because she was scared, didn’t know what to do, etc. I am not saying that I agree with that, but I could see someone like Misty, who is ignorant, not knowing what to do first. It IS critical though, that 911 wasn’t called until after Ron got home. Why did she wait for him why didn’t she call Ron ASAP and her brother should have told her to call police. So it’s all very strange. I think Misty thinks that if she keeps denying that she knows anything then it will all go away, but she’s wrong.
I think they (Misty’s family)are trying to create a diversion from Misty. How come with a door proped open in the wee hours of the morning..no outside noises awoke her.
Which brother did Misty phone the night Haleigh went missing? I’m assuming Timothy? Was Timothy in the Florida area that night? And has anyone heard what type of clothing Misty was wearing when Ronald arrived at home that night? Street clothes or sleepwear at 3 a.m.? This is something I have been very curious to know. Ronald said that the bed he and Misty used didn’t look as if Misty had ever been in it that night. I have my own theories as to what may have happened to Haleigh. One is that Misty had people over without Ronald’s knowledge and used drugs/alcohol, and one of her guests slipped her something that knocked her out so that they could take Haleigh (for reasons I do not even like to think about) and when she came to, realized Haleigh was gone. I think she is so scared of what Ronald will do if he finds this out that she is withholding this information to protect herself and possibly the people/person she had over there.
Suspicious1…….I completely agree with you! From day one, my thoughts were that Misty was having a party, everyone was congregated in the backyard. The back door was difficult to open, so she propped it open with a brick to allow all the drinkers access to the bathroom and so she could hear the kids. At some point she passed out or perhaps just stayed outside til the last partier left, once inside she saw Haleigh was gone. Like you, I believe she fabricated the entire kidnapping story because she is afraid of Ronald. Instead of taking Misty for a polygraph, I really wish Tim Miller would have just taken her away somewhere for a few days by herself, away from Ronald. I think that’s going to be the only way to get the truth out of her.
Does anyone know if her brother answered when she called him that night BEFORE she called 911?
It seems a little odd to me that he was there earlier that afternoon – Ronald called him and asked him to go to the house and check on Misty – he comes out with that information WAY after the fact – and then she calls him INSTEAD of the cops or Ronald?
A little too much involvement for the brother perhaps? Who knows. The only thing that anyone knows for sure is that she knows more than what she’s telling.
