Listed at the NCMEC as Case Type: Endangered Missing, Logan Lynn Tucker was last seen at home on June 23, 2002 and is missing under suspicious circumstances.
ALVA, Okla. (AP) _ A Woods County jury on Friday convicted a woman of first-degree murder in the 2002 death of her 6-year-old son, whose body has never been found.
The panel deliberated a little more than two hours before finding Katherine Rutan guilty of the death of Logan Tucker, even though the prosecution’s case was largely circumstantial. The jury recommended life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Woodward County Sheriff Les Morton recently made a decision to attempt to again bring closure to the case.
Numerous leads and countless searches for Logan Tucker have failed, but Morton’s resolve hasn’t. And that determination has led him to another first — calling in a psychic.
“I have talked to four or five different psychics, and we still haven’t found Logan’s body,” the sheriff said. “But this is my first time dealing with a psychic directly.”
The psychic, this time, is Jeff Baker who claims in this article to have done about 100 searches for missing people and says he has found every one of them. Most recently a missing Internal Revenue Service agent. However the specific role he played is unclear, other than that of a volunteer searcher.
The body of a woman found in a wilderness area near San Francisco, Sunday, has been identified as Veronica “Nikki” Ruiz, a 25-year-old IRS agent reported missing in early December.
She died from a single, self-inflicted gunshot to the head, California authorities confirmed to ABC News.
He asserts, HIPPA, though he probably means Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) like confidentiality, prevents him from discussing specific cases. Wouldn’t a parent of a missing child want to share his “gift” with others?
Preface: All clients get the consideration of the Hippa act with me and most prefer to remain anonymous. However there are quite a few that wish to speak out, post comments, dedicate websites, etc. to my work.
Update 02-12-08: Jeff Baker is apparently extending his stay in the search for Logan’s remains according to the Tulsa World. But is he getting more from those associated with the case than they are from him?
Morton said on Saturday, he and Baker gathered more information and conducted interviews with “people that had knowledge of Katherine (Rutan-Pollard).”“Everyone he (Baker) has talked to, he has gained useful information from,” said Morton, who added that photographs and maps also were gathered in the process.Morton said he and Baker would go over all the information to see if they can determine what specific area should be more extensively searched.
Baker describes his psychic ability as being able to read the dead very well, so why the need to spend so much time with the living?

Apparently Baker was unable to find Logan and has now gone to Tulsa to assist in the search for missing 13-year-old Tulsa teen Cori Baker according to NewsOK.
Like all of the previous searches for the missing boy, the most recent effort didn’t bring investigators any closer to finding Logan, Morton said.
“Not a damn bit,” Morton said. “We had absolutely no luck whatsoever.”
Jeff Baker has another website here. Even though he claims to have been involved in 100 searches for missing persons, the site only lists three cases.
Update 02-16-08 The authorities had previously provided information where searches had been conducted. The advent of Google Maps must be invaluable for psychics as they can view a map on-line, including terrain, traffic and satellite photos. GoogleEarth takes it to a whole new level in terms of descriptive information you could provide. All available at the click of a keystroke.
Google Earth combines the power of Google Search with satellite imagery, maps, terrain and 3D buildings to put the world’s geographic information at your fingertips.
- Fly to your house. Just type in an address, press Search, and you’ll zoom right in.
- Search for schools, parks, restaurants, and hotels. Get driving directions.
- Tilt and rotate the view to see 3D terrain and buildings, or look up to explore the sky
- Save and share your searches and favorites.
Following the ‘feelings’
Danny Baker said he and Jeff Baker drove around Tulsa, and said the psychic would get a “feeling” indicating he had received psychic information about the whereabouts of the teenager.
“Rather than relying on theories, I didn’t tell him (Jefff Baker) about any of the leads or investigation,” Danny Baker said.
“He would say ‘turn left — back up and turn right,’ and I just followed.”
Update 02-19-08 The search for Cori’s body is taking place near a Broken Arrow, OK. cemetery but she has not been found according to KTEN.

The search is continuing today. Based on information allegedly provided by Marquis Bullock, an area around a drainage ditch is being searched. Cadaver dogs are being used according to NewsOn6.
Update 02-22-08 The search was suspended until Saturday due to poor weather. In a press conference yesterday after comments were made from a prepared statement you might wonder is Jeff Baker’s presence helping or hurting the efforts to find Cori?
Jeff Baker, a self-proclaimed psychic from Colorado who is not related to the family, has helped Cori’s family search this week. He read a prepared statement that indicated the family’s extreme disappointment in Cori’s case and claimed police have “been extremely inactive in the case” and have only “marginally participated in one or two searches” since Cori disappeared Nov. 9.
