Shannon Dedrick has been found.

CHIPLEY, Fla. — Florida authorities have found a missing baby alive under her baby sitter’s bed and say they’re planning to charge the baby sitter, her husband and the child’s mother.

Washington County Sheriff Bobby Haddock said early Thursday that investigators found 7-month-old Shannon Dedrick in a box at Susan Elizabeth Baker’s home near Chipley, a rural Panhandle town. The child had been missing for five days.

According to The News Herald and ABC affiliate WMBB, Channel 13 in Panama City, Susan Baker’s son, Paul Baker, went missing on March 5, 1987 in Beaufort South Caroina.

In a bizarre twist, WMBB said Baker’s stepson disappeared more than two decades ago and has never been found. Paul Baker was 3 years old when he was reported missing on March 5, 1987. Susan Baker and her husband, James, had been living in Beaufort, S.C., at the time.

“Susan Baker told police she put him [Paul] down for a nap that day and returned to find him missing. Deputies and police searched the area around their home for several days but found no trace of the little boy,” according to a synopsis of the case by the Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The Bakers were arrested but never indicted in Paul’s disappearance, WMBB said. However, during the investigation authorities found Paul’s 6-year-old sister had several broken bones and sores on her body.

Susan Baker was convicted of beating the girl and sentenced to 10 years in prison, the center said.

Family, friends express relief Wilberger’s body is finally found

Brooke Wilberger’s memory has faded on the BYU campus, but former roommates of the BYU sophomore who vanished five years ago in Corvallis, Ore., embraced with a sense of release Monday the news that her body had been found.

“It has felt like an eternity to every person involved in this,” said Brittany Bennion, one of Wilberger’s Deseret Towers roommates. “I’m happy that there is closure and I’m happy that they found her body. I know that this is what Brooke’s family was hoping for.”

The search for Wilberger, who disappeared from an apartment building near the Oregon State University campus in May 2004 shortly after finishing her freshman year at BYU, ended Monday when a man pleaded guilty to her murder after leading police to her body near the rugged Oregon coast.

Defendant Joel Courtney’s confession concluded one of the most publicized murder investigations in Oregon history.

Deborah Kalai Fourzan, (14), has been missing since February 2, 2009 from Tecumseh, Ok. She was believed to be with James Reimer (40). Her story was featured previously on America’s Most Wanted (AMW)

Missing Tecumseh Teen Found in Washington State

MONTESANO, Washington – Tecumseh police say 14-year-old Deborah Fourzan, the teenager who has been missing since February 2, was found in Washington state.

According to Tecumseh Lt. Detective J.R. Kidney, a Washington state trooper pulled over James Reimer in a white Mercury Cougar around 5:00 p.m. CT Saturday.

Washington State Police spokesperson Krista Hedstrom said Reimer was pulled over for a lane violation. A trooper conducted a field sobriety test and let Reimer back in his vehicle. When the trooper called in his information, they discovered Reimer’s warrant.

While this missing case has a happy ending there are many unanswered questions. How could they travel from Tecumseh, Ok. to Washington, a distance of approximatley 2,000 miles, in the same car without being spotted? Were Amber Alerts for the pair issued in multiple states?

(correction: see comment below, a missing child alert was issued and not an AMBER Alert)
