Police in Texas have issued an AMBER Alert in Texas for a missing 11-year-old but it isn’t clear if she is still missing. The NCMEC has no active alerts nor is she listed as a missing child in Texas. Amber Alert: Authorities Search For Iridian Julissa Rodriguez

State authorities issued an Amber Alert late Sunday evening for 11-year-old Iridian Julissa Rodriguez of Tyler. Police are concerned for her safety because Rodriguez left a note stating she could no longer live at home, and she would rather be dead, or be in Mexico.

Authorities suspect she is with 23-year-old Enrique Vasquez. Police say Rodriguez has been sneaking out of her home at night to see Vasquez. The two could be riding in a blue, 1999 Pontiac Firebird with Texas License place T31-NJW. The car is missing the passenger side door mirror.

Update 01-31-09

DALLAS (AP) — Advocates for missing children want Texas’ Department of Public Safety to reconsider its policy for issuing Amber Alerts after the agency refused to send one out for a missing 11-year-old girl believed to have run off with a convicted felon.

Police in Tyler, about 100 miles east of Dallas, requested the alert after the girl’s mother reported her missing. She was last seen Jan. 24.

The girl’s mother, Maira Macias, was at police headquarters late Friday when her daughter called her and told her she was in Mexico, police said. They believe the girl is with 23-year-old Enrique Vasquez, who was convicted of burglary in 2006.

TYLER, TX. (KSLA)- A Tyler, Texas teen that had been missing for a week, has now been found.

Iridian “Julissa” Rodriguez was located in Monterrey Nuevo Leon, Mexico Saturday and is now safe with relatives, according to the Tyler Police Dept.
