An AMBER Alert has been activated in Dallas, Tx. for 10-month-old Manuel Patrico Bolanos, Jr who was abducted in a smash and grab from his mothers vehicle.
DALLAS — An Amber Alert has been issued for a 10-month-old boy who was snatched through the broken window of a vehicle by his father in Northwest Dallas Wednesday morning.
The boy’s mother, 18, said she took the boy from their Lewisville home, after she had broken up with her son’s father.
The suspect is Manuel P. Bolanos Sr.
Police believe the suspect, 27-year-old Manuel Patricio Bolanos, is driving a silver 1999 Chrysler Concorde with Texas license plate 375-VJC. He’s described as being 6’7″ and 200 pounds.
Update 05-28-09: Baby OK, dad arrested in suspected kidnapping
A Lewisville man suspected of violently kidnapping his 10-month-old son from the boy’s mother’s car Wednesday morning was arrested in Old East Dallas after spending eight hours on the run with the child, Dallas police said.
An Amber Alert that had been issued for the baby was canceled Wednesday evening, authorities said.
The father, identified as Manuel Patricio Bolanos, 27, surrendered to police in the 5400 block of Gaston Avenue, police said. The boy had suffered cuts to his face and arms that did not appear to be serious, police said. He was taken to Children’s Medical Center Dallas for treatment.
