HIDALGO – Federal and local investigators admit the kidnapping of an Hidalgo girl is a type of case that hasn’t happened in decades. They also say it’s scary.
“I’ve been doing this since 1971. I’ve never seen anything like this,” Hidalgo Police Chief Vernon Rosser tells us. “It’s a scary case, because it’s not a typical kidnapping.”
“A lot of cases we work are drug-related or there’s some connection between the victim and kidnapper,” explains FBI John Johnson, Resident Agent in Charge. “The abductor was a complete stranger.”
