May 3rd marks the second anniversary of Madeleine McCann’s disappearance. She went missing from her hotel bedroom while her 2-year-old twin siblings slept nearby. It was believed Madeleine was abducted while her parents dined at a nearby restaurant.
Madeleine McCann’s parents are to be interviewed by Oprah Winfrey to mark the second anniversary of their daughter’s disappearance.
Kate and Gerry McCann will fly to Chicago next week to film a one-hour special with the American chatshow queen.
It will be broadcast on May 3, two years after Madeleine vanished from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal.
The show will also feature footage from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children in Washington.
The US charity has produced age-progressed images for the programme to show what Madeleine would look like now, aged five.
Since she went missing, the NCMEC has added 1359 active missing or abducted children to their site. Among them are these children, all missing without a trace and the length of time since they were last seen:
Trenton Duckett 2 1/2 years
Jaliek Rainwalker 1 1/2 years
Adji Desir 3 months
Haleigh Cummings 2 months
Amber Dubois 2 months
