An AMBER Alert has been issued in New York City for a confirmed child abduction that occurred at 305 7th Avenue in Manhattan, NY, at about 11:00 AM on 3/16/2009. The suspect, a noncustodial parent, took the child from supervised visitation. The suspect, Katherine Mora Ruiz, has psychiatric history, including chronic paranoid schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. She has refused medication and has been deemed by a court to be a danger to her child. The suspect was last seen traveling on foot leaving 305 7th Avenue.
