It is a term you often hear from law enforcement regarding missing children. In the disappearance of Adji Desir there has been no shortage of manpower by authorities in their efforts to find him. But if there is even a fifty-fifty chance he may have been abducted, should an AMBER Alert be issued?
When an AMBER Alert is activated it may only reach a portion of the general public. There are four active AMBER Alerts in Fl. where the child was believed to have been abducted or missing under suspicious circumstances. Should there have been five?
A 17-person FBI Child Abduction Rapid Deployment Team is tracking down leads in the search for 6-year-old Adji Desir of Immokalee.Local, state and federal officials continue investigating the possibility the boy – missing since Saturday – was abducted.
On Thursday, the number of officers searching for Adji doubled to 300 and the search area in all directions expanded an additional 4 square miles to 16.

An AMBER Alert wasn’t issued for Adji Desir because he was believed to have wandered off and not to have been abducted. Now there is speculation he may have been abducted as he has been missing five days.

They may be traveling in a two door black Ford Explorer SUV. The companion is armed and should be considered dangerous.
