MOORPARK, Calif. (KABC) — Investigators continue searching on Monday for the remains of a teen believed to be murdered 40 years ago in Moorpark.
Roger Madison, 16, is believed to be buried beneath the 23 Freeway at Tierra Rejada Road. The murder case is 40 years old and has been a cold case for several decades, but authorities said they have new leads and hope to find the victim’s body.
Notorious child killer Mack Edwards confessed to killing Madison and as many as 17 other children in the 50s and 60s.

SAN DIEGO — A man who authorities say abducted two of his grandchildren from Tennessee almost 20 years ago was arrested Monday night in San Jose and the children have been found.
Investigators were tipped off to the whereabouts of Marvin L. Maple, 72, after he read a San Diego Union-Tribune story online about the search for him, said cold case Detective Lt. Bill Sharp of the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.
