In the alleged abduction of a A 15-year-old Austin girl, the kidnapper was able to flee via a Greyhound bus which has prompted her mother to ask for your help.
Maybe you can assist me. My daughter and David Michael Snyder were allowed to leave on a Greyhound bus with no ID required and no questions asked. I am wanting to try and enact a law which would require that buses be forced to require valid picture ID on all passengers. To date, buses are pretty much allowed to do what they want and no one over-sees their activities. This is why they are the chosen mode of transport for criminals like David Michael Snyder. I would really appreciate any help you could offer or any advise you could offer. Thanks so very much. I appreciate it.
In September, Sheila Crump allegedly abducted her child from Utah and fled to Tennessee aboard a Greyhound bus.
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn.(ABC 4 News)
Emergency room personnel treated Vanessa for about two hours. And what’s mother doing all this time? Midvale Police Sergeant John Salazar said, “She made a number of calls from the hospital.” Without an escort, Crump was free to plan an escape. And without an escort, the PCMC staff would have no idea she did not have custody of her baby. At 3:25 a.m. Wednesday, Sheila Crump was given care instructions by nurses and Vanessa was released in her care.
Midvale police detectives now believe that after leaving the hospital, she stopped briefly at a house in Taylorsville, then got a ride to the Greyhound station where she caught a bus to Nashville, Tennessee on a ticket paid for by her biological mother.
