“99 Luftballons” is a Cold War-era protest song by the German band Nena. Originally sung in German, it was later re-recorded in English as “99 Red Balloons”. It is one of the most successful pop songs by a German artist in the world.

The song lyrics allude to a message sent to military leaders “Something’s out there” which caused mass panic and destruction.

Visit her site and see what you can do to help. They list step by step instructions and provide a downloadable flyer you can attach to the balloon.
