Madeleine McCann remains missing but she continues to receive unprecedented media coverage. Her parents even recently met with Pope Benedict XVI which Gerry McCann describes on his blog at  Missing Madeleine the website established to aid in her search. The site now has reached another traffic milestone.

On the News & Downloads page, should you somehow be unfamiliar with her story, there are over 5 pages of news reports and downloads, posters available in multiple languages and banners available for other websites to post. It is difficult to comprehend with the worldwide coverage how she can still be missing.

There are some Foundations and Charities in the U.S. established to aid in various aspects of missing children issues but her website is setting a defacto standard for providing information, updates, and fundraising for an active missing child case.

Update: A quick search of the Help Find Trenton  site established to aid in the search for Trenton Duckett there is a glaring recent change as there is no link to make a Donation. You can go to the contact page and send an email for information on Donations.

This is in sharp contrast to Madeleine’s site where they provide multiple ways to make a donation providing frequent updates as to the amounts received.

The balance on 30/05/07, the fund account current stands at £374,352.75

Note:  approximately $740,861 U.S.
