“Paradoxically though it may seem, it is none the less true that life imitates art far more than art imitates life”. -Oscar Wilde
What if a vigilante mobs kills someone only to find out the information causing them to act was in error? Will they receive the same justice as a father facing murder charges for the possible revenge for acts against his child? Listening to this story it could be eerily similar to another with a few changes.
“…An angry mob beat a Marshville man to death Friday whom they mistakenly thought was involved in the disappearance of their friend, police said.
The attackers believed Tony Lorin Blakeney had something to do with the disappearance of a man whose alleged killer was arrested a short time after the beating, officials said…”
- Father for angry mob
- Stabbing for beating
- Molestation for disappearance
- Daughter for friend
- All the participant’s names
What actually happened to the initial victims is still being investigated in both cases.
