An Endangered Child Alert issued in Tennessee for a 2-year-old girl

LOUDON (WATE) — Officials in Loudon County have issued an endangered child alert for a missing two-year old girl.

Police say the girl went missing from Philadelphia early Sunday morning with her mother, Melinda Atterton, 20, and Jessica Leanne Jenkins, 15.

The three are believed to be headed to north Georgia in a 1993 white, four door Buick with Tennessee tags 562-VDG.

If you have any information, you’re asked to call the Loudon County Sheriff’s Department at (865)-986-4823.

There is no active alert at the Tennessee Clearinghouse for Missing and Exploited Children for them. There is an Endangered Child Alert for Lara Ella Snyder.

 

There are alerts from yesterday for Endangered Runaway Cheyanne Krista Debord and for Endangered Child  Frederick Maranda neither child is listed at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Update 04-01-09: An Endangered Child Alert has been issued for a Knox County child.

KNOXVILLE (WATE) — An Endangered Child Alert has been issued for young boy in Knox County.

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office are searching for seven-year-old Frederick Maranda, who is believed to be with his non-custodial mother, Monica Maranda.

Deputies say she took him on March 19 from a relative’s house.

A warrant for custodial interference has been issued for her.

According to sheriff’s spokesperson Martha Dooley, the boy’s father, Gene Miranda, was taken in police custody.

Charges are expected to be filed against the father on Wednesday, but Dooley would not say what charges are pending.
