AMBER Alert Issued For 3 Children Taken At Gunpoint

CARSON, Calif. — An AMBER alert was issued for three children allegedly taken at gunpoint by their biological mother and her husband from their foster parents during a supervised visit in Carson on Wednesday, authorities said.

According to the San Jose Mercury News the Alert was cancelled but the children remain missing.

Deputy Rick Pedroza of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says the Amber Alert issued Wednesday night was canceled Thursday morning because investigators determined a gun wasn’t used in the abduction as had been initially thought.

Note: The missing children are neither listed at the California Clearinghouse for missing children nor the NCMEC.

A campaign in Spain-No Nos Olvideis

Are there additional links between these three cases? What about 14-year-old Sara Morales, Amy Fitzpatrick or “older” children? Why not bring attention to any of the other 200 children missing from Spain?

A POSTER campaign linking the disappearance of Madeleine McCann with two missing Spanish children is being launched today.

Nearly 18,000 are being sent out across Spain. They will show Madeleine with either Mari Luz Cortes, five, or Yeremi Vargas, seven.

They carry the headline No Nos Olvideis – Spanish for “Don’t forget us” – and phone numbers where possible sightings can be reported

Update 02-15-08: REMEMBER MADELEINE POSTER PLEA

The Helping To Find Madeleine group organised the campaign. Some 17,400 packs were produced, costing the Find Madeleine Fund £3,000.An e-mail version of the posters was also being sent out to thousands of addresses.The launch comes a day after Portugal’s justice minister, Alberto Costa, said the police investigation into Madeleine’s disappearance was “approaching the conclusion.”

Update 02-18-02   Is the Cortés family against a poster campaign launched in Spain by the McCann family which shows images of four year old Madeleine alongside their daughter, Mari Luz?

They are according to Typically Spanish. The article contradicts the Find Madeleine Fund who claims to actually be paying for the posters suggesting instead the Cortes family is sharing the costs paying 4,000 € each.
