In a different twist to a reward fund, the adoptive parents of missing Jaliek Rainwalker have offered a reward that lowers in value for each month he remains missing.
Some other missing person’s funds historically have offered money for information about the victim’s whereabouts, circumstances surrounding details of the disappearance or ultimately for the safe recovery of the individual, generally increasing in value so this does appear to be unique.
The $25,000 award offered by Jocelyn McDonald and Stephen Kerr, Jaliek’s adoptive parents, has now dropped by $5,000 and will continue to go down each month until someone gives information to collect it or that money runs out — something the Find Jaliek Task Force is fighting to prevent.
