When a child goes missing, as time passes, some parents choose to conduct parallel investigations with police. Last year, Josh Duckett, the father of missing Leesburg, Fl toddler, Trenton, established Team Trenton in order to solicit more tips and to increase public awareness. This year they were forced to scale back their efforts.
The parents of Madeliene McCann have established a confidential phone line [ +34 902 300213] for residents of Portugal, Spain and north Africa to call with any information according to Reuters.
“(They) will reiterate their firm belief that Madeleine is still alive,” said spokesman Clarence Mitchell. “And they will urge anyone with information, no matter how minor it may seem to them, to contact a newly established, confidential 24-hour phone number.”Any information received will be shared with Portuguese police, he added.

Thank you for not forgetting about Trenton! I receive your blog in my email through Google alerts, and it’s gratifying to know that there are still people out there who think about him and remember that he is still not home.
Also, even though Madeleine’s disappearance has received tremendous publicity, it matters not, as this is still a little girl who is also not home. All that can be hoped is that the intense media interest will help, and not hinder, the search to find her.
My own hope is that Madeleine’s disappearance will bring to the forefront that children are missing all over the world, and solutions and safety measures need to be found and established internationally.
