When 2-year-old Trenton Duckett went missing last August, the story made national headlines. His disappearance landed his parents on the Nancy Grace show. Ms. Grace chastised Melinda Duckett for not releasing details of her travels surrounding Trenton’s alleged abducted. Prior to the interview airing, Ms. Duckett committed suicide.
So how can a 2-and-a-half year-old in Las Vegas be missing and her foster parents, Vhee and Manuel Carrascal, simply refuse to speak to police according to klas-tv?
Seven months into the search and the detectives find themselves revisiting the first 24 hours after the reported disappearance and their initial contact with the foster family, Manuel and Vhee Carrascal, and their sons who are 14-years-old and 34-years-old.“According to their statements, they discovered her missing around 7:30 in the morning. However, it wasn’t reported to law enforcement until sometime between noon and 12:30 p.m. that day, so we were already behind the 8 ball,” said Detective Jimmy Watson, North Las Vegas Police Dept.
Their explanation is Everlyse Cabrera walked away from their home on June 10, 2006. They are being sued by the biological parents in a civil action but as licensed foster parents in Clark County are financially protected by the county.
Even the circumstances of her disappearance posted at the NCMEC seem strange.
Circumstances: Everlyse was last seen at home on June 10, 2006. She was last known to be wearing pink shorts, a pink shirt and no shoes.
Last year, Nevada was supposed to be revamping their systems to be more in line with Federal guidelines. The National Center for Youth Law filed a class action lawsuit against the state of Nevada and Clark County citing that at least 79 children have died of abuse of neglect at the hands of their parents, foster parents, or other caregivers while under the watch of the Clark County Department of Family Services.
Update 06-10-07: In the comments below the NCMEC has changed the case of missing Indigo and Donovan Revander to a “Family Abduction” from “Endangered missing”. They remain missing according to the NCMEC.
Update 03-18-08
Update 07-06-08 Everlyse Cabrera now missing for two years

wow, i dont recall ever hearing about this. Does it seem that are if the children that go missing are in the sysytem they get less publicity or am I wrong?
ReVander, Indigo & Donovan- Missing children correction. They are NOT endangered, NO Amber Alert (or maybe one) either because the criteria is not met according to Kalispell police & MT law. These statements from your source are mis-information as is the Reno NV & Seattle WA possible location only put out by your source because I (mother’s sister) didn’t remember a physical address & a talk I had with father of children about a unrelated family matter on the coast which he then used for his own bizarre reasons to link to possible locations. Mother was custodial parent until a few days ago when court changed it, again mis-information. Please do not spread this garbage on this site or other links from your source to appease his thirst for revenge which serves no purpose but his own. We are concerned for mother, Indigo & Donovan.
Thank You
Big Sister & Mother’s Family Members
Vanita,
It appears they were distributed as part of an RSS Feed at the time they were missing from the NCMEC.
Google has cached (taken a snapshot) of various internet posts which contained the feed on a particular day. The Case Type: Endangered Missing would have been entered by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
They are listed under the Case Type: Endangered as of April 28, 2007 but if you click on their picture on the homepage today they are listed as Case Type: Family Abduction Donovan & Indigo
You may need to contact the NCMEC for correction if needed.

On March 24th, 2007 Indigo, age 10, and Donovan, age 5, were abducted from Kalispell, Montana by their non-custodial mother – Valerie Dunkle (aka Valerie ReVander). A felony warrant was issued for the abductor on April 24, 2007. Last confirmed sighting was in Harrison, Arkansas. When Indigo was last seen, her hair was dyed auburn and it may have been recently permed.

I am a blood cousin of Valerie and Vanita though i have not seen them in years. All I have to say is I hope that Val will give herself up and that the children are unhurt.
I truly hope Val sees this and realizes how concerned her family in the Seattle area are that this has happened.
Kids have been found! Thank you to everyone for their support the last 17 months!
