A news report out of Central Florida discussed a search of a construction site for Trenton Duckett. Some people reported seeing her and Trenton in the area prior to his disappearance.
The Orlando Sentinel reported “ Two days before Trenton Duckett was reported missing, his mother bought a shotgun at a local pawn shop, authorities said Monday.
Although it was not the gun that Melinda Duckett used to kill herself last week, it may be another puzzle piece for investigators as they try to link the events that led up to 2-year-old Trenton’s disappearance Aug. 27 — and his mother’s suicide almost two weeks later.”
It is unclear whether Police believe he was shot but they did issue the curious statement that the gun Melinda allegedly shot herself with was not the same one as purchased previously at a pawn shop.
On the Nancy Grace show airing last night, there was this comment from Captain Steven Rockefeller, Leesburg Police Department concerning the search.
“…Well, in the last day, we received a tip that Melinda and Trenton were seen down in this new housing subdivision down somewhere near that construction site. But the sighting was approximately one week before Trenton was reported disappeared. And as a result of that — as a result of that tip, we wanted to get some folks down in that area. We call it more routine rather than a hot lead or a hot tip. And then the dogs actually alerted to something in the construction area. Actually, that was quite surprising to us because it was a routine tip…”
As the authorities continue searching, I was reminded of the disappearance of Jennifer Kesse who went missing from her Orlando home January 24, 2006. Orlando is approximately 45 miles from Leesburg, Fl.
Melinda was driven to suicide because those redneck backwoods scum bag Leesburg Police drove her to it, now that she is dead they take the easy way out and point the finger at here! Donut Munching SCUMBAGS.
Don’t be so quick to judge. You have to keep in mind the guy from America’s most wanted and the Ramsey family. Especially the Ramsey family because they were also accused of the death of thier child. People who love a child that is missing will wait for years and years on end for any resolution fleeing from hope to despair, but always waiting for that resolution. After 2 weeks of missing your shining star, you don’t blow yourself away… Their are people who have still borns and toddlers or older children that die, they don’t kill themselves, they memorialize the childs room, clothing, picture etc and morn that child with what would have and could have.
Wow Doug, seems like you have issues with police. They were just doing their job. And if I recall, It been a week since she shot herself and just now have they listed her as the prime suspect. So I believe those “donut munching scumbags” up until she put a bullet in her own head were just trying to help. So the only thing that drove her to kill herself was her guilty conscience.
God rest her soul we should not judge what happened to you are innocent until proven guilty????
I personally think people grieve in different ways and deal with situtions differently. We can all say she did it or didn’t do it but the fact is the only person who knows for sure was her. Nancy Grace had no right to stick her nose into a police investigation she isn’t working the case, she is a talk show host. Nancy Grace should have understood that this woman just had her child taken (according to her) and if she was or was not responsible was still unknown. She treated someone like a criminal before the police even stated her as the prime suspect. -Which isn’t right. If I were this woman’s mother I’d go after Nancy’s job and make sure her show is pulled off the air. You all need to watch tubetv you can see her interviewing Elizabeth Smart she drills the girl about what happened to her after she states twice she doesn’t want to get into it. It’s called knowing when to shut up but all the woman cares about is ratings.
Nancy Grace is nothing but a newshound whore who goes wherever she or her masters at CNN smell a story.They could care less whether Melinda was guilty or innocent,all they are after is a sensationalistic news story.What she does cannot be called newscasting but is reality TV.
